Welcome Back to Active Duty

I could not help myself but welcome back a good friend to the Hollywood Clan.  Not just a good friend, but an original member of the Hollywood Brotherhood and a previously frequent handler of the “Shapeshifter”.  After a short stint in the Reserves, he has been seen merc’n around the battlefield the last couple of nights like he never took a break.  This is a VERY strong “re-addition” to Hollywood, because he brings not only experience in the game, but an accurate shot, lots of kills, and jokes for days (which is right up my alley).  I must say having another partner to talk the poop with, will be a great relief.  I never realized the hardwork that has to be put in to make the enemy, and sometimes teammate, feel stupid by ones self.  Now with a wingman again it will make games that much more fun, not only for me, but for everyone else.  Weapon of choice: M16 a.ka.a Tha Bread and Butta.   So Charlie, as he is known to some, saddle up soldier, there are wars to win homie.

Side Note:  Another new addition to Hollywood is our good friend Hollywood RMFNG.  Don’t be fooled by the low rank either, he is a season vet to the game, just new to the system.  I give him a another night or two before he is use to the controls and game play.  Incase you wondering who this is, it’s Ray MaFukin G!!!!

New Maps in Detail

Posted in Important Intel on April 3, 2008 by jimmyjayceo

So after posting the other videos I found a couple other ones that give more detail into each new map.  All this info is from the IGN.com. Apparently they got to demo the new maps already. Click here to read the whole story.

BROADCAST
As you may have guessed it’s basically ripped from the “Charlie Don’t Surf” level from early in the single-player campaign. As with most COD4 maps there are both outdoor and indoor sparring grounds with multi-tiered structures that can be used to a team’s advantage if played properly. The inside of Broadcast is an office environment complete with cubicles, a separate room with television equipment, a main lobby area and what appears to be a copy room that’s home to a massive skylight where the enemy can try and get the drop on an unsuspecting opponent. The smaller outdoor portion features abandoned vehicles which can be used as cover as well as a staircase leading to the roof and the aforementioned strategic skylight.

New Maps for Call of Duty 4

Posted in Important Intel on April 3, 2008 by jimmyjayceo

Finally the time has arrived for new maps to be available for the greatest game ever created.  There was supposedly a delay in the release, but I have been reading rumors about there not being a delay at all. I would just plan on the release being April 10th.  Either way, once the new maps are available the game will get a lot better.  I’ve been browsing around trying to find anything on the new maps.  My homie Raven8405 found some pics of the new mapsand some names, but not much else.  They are supposedly called “Broadcast” (2 story TV station setting), “Creek” (outdoor map similar to overgrown I would assume but bigger), “Chinatown” (names says it all, night time setting), and “Killhouse” (training center facility setting with lots of plywood). I actually found a couple videos that give a pretty good view of the new maps:

I was playing today on my lunch break from work (advantages of living 2 seconds from your job), and I began to realize just how excited I am for new killing grounds.  The current maps are still great, but there is a lot of “expected” tactics and strategies that everyone knows and uses.  With these new maps it will once again level the playing field for everyone.  The noobs wont know the difference, and the vets will have a learning curve.  If you are like me and my crew you will probably get to know these new maps VERY quickly.  How can you consider yourself a COD4 junkie and not be itching to spend countless hours exploring the new maps?  Exactly you can’t.  So I wish you all adu, and good luck learning the new maps.
