My Eyes Have Been Opened……….Fully!

My last post, “The Birth of Nameless”, I mentioned that I would be playing other games now, and trying to expand my game knowledge.  Yeah, that’s not going to work.  I started playing Rainbow Six: Vegas 1 last night and I was very disappointed.  This was recommended to me to try, and to be honest, I should have rented it first.  How outdated can a once “good game” get in a year?  VERY!!!!  I’ll explain later on.  So I quickly turned that game off and threw Halo 3 in.  Now this wasn’t as bad to me as Rainbow 6, but still I was missing something.  Couldn’t figure out what it was at first.    Then it hit me, ACTION and EXCITEMENT!  Those were the two ingredients that these games lacked.  And I wasn’t too happy at all. Let me break down the flaws that both of these games had that I found.  Now keep in mind that I am new to first person shooters, and COD4 was my first one. The Birth of Nameless

Starting last Friday I played Call of Duty 4 every night till either 1 or 2 am till Tuesday of this week. Reason being, double XP and the new maps. I had to take advantage of the XP while it lasted. A Long Weekend of Double XP!

If you are a Call of Duty 4 junkie you probably had as long a weekend as I did.  The new maps came out Friday morning and there couldn’t have been a better start to the weekend than that.  Not only were there new maps, but while playing these maps you were awarded DOUBLE xp points for everything.  Every kill was worth either 10 or 20.  Playing “Search and Destroy” was by far the best.  100 XP points per kill.  Capturing a flag during “Domination” got you +30!  How dope was that?  I spent countless hours trying to rank as much as possible, and get as much familiarity with the new maps as possible.  Let me tell you, it was VERY NICE!!!
